Arrange your own Shameless screening! Are you a Shameless student? Fancy organising a Shameless screening in your university or college?
Shameless mod Sarah has done just that, organising a screening of Sergio Martino’s Torso at Liverpool John Moores University just in time for Halloween! If your university or college has a film or media department then why not approach your tutors about organising a screening as a social event? That’s exactly what Sarah did. Alternatively, most Student Unions have film societies or clubs so why not arrange a special Shameless night? Ask Almar nicely and he might even give you some posters to give away as freebies… The screening at Liverpool John Moores University is going ahead on Thursday 30th October, 6pm-8pm in the Dean Walters building. There are even some prizes for best Halloween costumes! I’m starting my MA in exploitation/banned films this September at DMU which is a world-leading university for the study of cinema. I wouldn’t mind arranging one of these in October/November 2009…
